Lazy? Want to keep up with professional literature?

Well, I just discovered the journal of Academic Librarianship has a guide to the professional literature in each issue. Snippet sized abstracts and reviews, handy.

Link to the catalogue entry for the journal

You can set up RSS feeds for the table of contents too.

I have found a couple of interesting things in the JAL guide including a rather disturbing article from the Cline Center for Democracy called 'Airbrushing history, American Style: The mutability of government documents in the digital era' about surreptitious and extensive revisions made to US government digital documents that originated from the previous administration. The changes were picked up by comparing versions of the Internet Archives regular 'snapshots'. Go Internet Archive!
